I've wanted a blue ball jar for the longest time so when I saw this one in an antique store I was thrilled. After a moments debate at spending $7.00 for an old jar, I quickly snatched it up.
I can already imagine it filled with fresh flowers from the garden in the spring or vintage Christmas balls in the winter. It's amazing how such a little thing can brighten my day.
Between the jar, my thrift store oil painting and my hobby lobby birdhouse, I can't help but smile every time I pass this little corner.
Considering you can't even buy a fast food lunch for what I paid for it, I would say it was definitely worth every penny!

The colors together are beautiful. I like your November daily thanks list there on the side bar. We're grateful for much of the same things. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI love mason jars.....I am now using them for sweet tea also.....There are so many things that you can use them for.....
ReplyDeleteLove your finds!
I agree. Enjoy it. I'd fill it with daisies.
ReplyDeleteI have a few of these and I just adore them. I have some 'plain' ones dating back to 1930's...My husband keeps asking me when I bring another one home. 'dont you have enough?'..NOPE..One day I was able to pick up an ENTIRE box for 2 dollars at a yard sale..I'm amazed at the prices I'm able to get here in Ontario Canada....some have even gave them to me for free..Yahoooooooo....lol
ReplyDeleteI love the way you put such simple things together and make beautiful collections to look at!
ReplyDeleteLove your aqua jar. I have quite a few of them myself that I've picked up here and there at thrift stores and garage sales. I use them year round too. I even scored a whole box of smaller aqua jars with glass lids and that flip over wire thing... FOR TWO DOLLARS! I used some of them last year as gifts with a paper white bulb and rocks for forcing.
