outside my window

Every morning, after pouring myself a steaming cup of coffee, I sit in my favorite old leather chair and gaze out this window.



There is something about the view that just brings me focus and centers my heart.


Normally in late winter not only are the camellias blooming but there is a covering of snow on the distant mountain range.  This year has been exceptionally dry so the snow is absent but the view is still one of my favorites.


I find comfort in the constant of nature.  Don't you agree?  I like the fact that no matter what is swirling around in my head. the view outside my window remains the same. 

My coffee is cold...time for a refill.   Have a wonderful day!  Patty

    what a wonderful post. The second picture is so strikingly beautiful!! they all are though!! :) Yes, it is nice that no matter what we are going through we can look at nature and our surroundings and feel at rest!! Thanks for posting this Patty!!

    I too have "my" chair that I have my morning coffee & conversation with my God. It is in the sunroom & the feeders are just outside the window.

    The view and the window itself are beautiful! And what is it with coffee getting cold so quickly?! I suppose it's bound to happen when we're deep in thought gazing out a window or working on a blog post ;o)

    A beautiful view indeed. I love sitting on my porch swing and looking out over our pasture and across the way to our neighbors. Unfortunately, I don't have mountains anywhere near us. ;) Yes, you're right. Nothing is more comforting than the constant in nature that takes you away and brings peace. Enjoy.
